Psalm 25:3 reads, "Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed." Murray uses this statement to encourage those hurting, those waiting upon God, to lift up others in prayer. This idea has much merit. During your dark times, as you seek the face of God, it is important that you lift up the needs of others.Recently, I started reading Francis Chan's book Crazy Love. I'm not far enough along to give an opinion; however, I did enjoy his illustration about how we think we are the stars in this movie of life. Whereas truthfully, God is the focus. We think as we wait on God, that we only have problems. However, if we take that time to lift up others, it takes the focus off of us and puts the focus back where it belongs on God.
So as you seek God's direction in life, lift up others in prayer and change your focus from self to God.
