This past Sunday our small groups started a study on the subject of prayer. The groups separated male and female. I led the men and Doris led the women. I am unsure what the women covered, but the men studied our view of God and its impact on our prayer life.
Often we have a poor view of God. To us He is a vending machine for our many prayer requests. Request goes in and Answer comes out. This is a wrong view of God. Rather, we need to use Scripture, God's creation, and God's Son to give us a greater view of God. We will pray much differently when we understand who God is and what He has done for us.
